MONDAYS

Metalsmithing Workshop: Learn to make a ring (Grades 4-7)

  • Date: Monday, July 28  (one-day workshop)
  • Time: 9-12pm
  • Age: Grades 4-7
  • Price: Members $100.00 / Non-members $110.00 (all supplies included)

This is a beginner workshop where we will be making rings. We will learn the basic techniques by using most of the tools in the studio. We will learn how to add texture to a piece, we will use the torch to solder pieces and we will learn how to clean and polish a piece. Each participant will go home with a finished product. Max 8 attendees.

Creative Movement  (Ages 2-4)

  • Date: Wednesday – July 9 (one day workshop) 
  • Time: 11:00-11:30 am
  • Age: Ages 2-4 years
  • Cost: Members $18.00 / Non-members $20.00

Instructor: Abby Nolette

Creative Movement is a fun way for little ones (ages 2-4) to explore movement through music, dance, and storytelling. During a creative movement workshop, children can simultaneously develop motor skills, rhythmic awareness, coordination, and balance in a fun and safe environment.

What to know?

  • Children who are fully potty trained and able to use the bathroom independently are allowed to be left on site. 
  • Children who need bathroom assistance should always have a caregiver on site. 
  • Parents are allowed to participate with their children, but this is not expected. 
  • Siblings under 2 years old are allowed to participate alongside the parent.

PLEASE BE ADVISED:

  • Don’t dress in your best attire for art classes; art can get messy!
  • Please read all of River Tree Arts’ Policies and Procedures before registering for any event.
  • In the case that a class is canceled due to weather and a student cannot attend the rain-date, refunds will not be issued.
  • All children need to have a completed consent form on file before attending classes without an adult: RTA Consent Form
  • If there are any allergies or serious medical information that we need to be aware of before your child attends art camp, kindly ensure that you provide this information as early as possible so that we can make the necessary arrangements.  
  • No early drop off or late picks up can be accommodated. 
  • RTA is a NUT-FREE facility.
