Instructor: Hannah Medovnikov
Join ceramic artist Hannah Medovnikov for a fun and informative, hands-in-clay experience. In this class, students will be introduced to a variety of hand-building techniques to create beautiful and functional works of art inspired by everyday life. Students are encouraged to research work that inspires them in order to achieve their creative goals alongside instruction and guidance. Students will also have the chance to work on the wheel to create mugs and bowls. The last week of class will be focused on basic glaze application and all work will be fired in RTA’s kiln which will make pottery durable and functional.

Join ceramic artist Sophie Olmsted for a fun and informative, hands-in-clay experience. Instructor: Hannah Medovnikov Join instructor Hannah Medovnikov on Monday evenings for a night of clay exploration in Advanced Clay Class. This class is geared towards students who have taken a course at River Tree or with equivalent ceramics experience. The class will be structured more independently than our introductory clay course. Students will be expected to do research outside of class and come prepared with their own projects. Hannah will be a hands-on resource for guidance, questions, and for any other challenges that may arise in a project. Students must have previously taken a Ceramics class at River Tree Arts in order to sign up.

5 weeks; October 16 – November 13, 2023
Grades 3-5
Instructor: Hannah Medovnikov Ceramics class offers young artists the opportunity to explore their creativity while experiencing everything clay! Students will experiment with a variety of hand-building techniques as well as demonstrations on the wheel. All projects will be fired in the kiln and students will learn basic glazing applications to finish the work that they create to cherish for years.
