Hello fellow River Tree Artists & Community!

The Gallery Committee of River Tree Arts wanted to take this opportunity to explain our new annual fundraiser “The Small Works Fundraiser” — this event was formerly known as the 100 x 100 Fundraiser. This new iteration is in response to our ever-changing world – while the spirit of the event remains the same, the format and parameters have been adjusted to accommodate the needs of our community. The event will be conducted primarily online starting this Labor Day weekend, but we are diligently working to create in-person viewing opportunities for both patrons and artists – these viewing opportunities will be known as “In-Person Previews.”

In-Person Previews will be available by reservation only, and will be limited to groups of 6 or less for 30 minutes. The individual reserving a 30 minute in-person preview will pay a small fee ($50), which will be later credited towards the purchase of a piece in the fundraiser on Monday, September 7th. It is our hope that everyone who reserves an in-person preview finds a special piece of art that they can apply the fee towards. During previews the River Tree Arts volunteers will be in masks and observing social distancing guidelines – this is also a requirement of all guests attending a preview. Guests who are not in masks will not be able to enter River Tree Arts.

The Small Works Fundraiser will no longer restrict artists to a 10” x 10” block canvases – instead we have asked our generous artists to work in their own medium and donate a small piece of their choosing. We hope that this will open up our community’s creativity and provide a whole new avenue for our event to take. One of the other major changes you will notice is that there will be a virtual auction where we will live-stream the sale of several special pieces. After the live-steam has concluded the regular sale will commence and patrons will be able to purchase all other available artwork online through our online store. We would also like to note that the purchase price of works in the sale will be $125 this year. Below you will find a tentative timeline of events – if you have any questions about this new format please do not hesitate to reach out gallery@rivertreearts.org
