For those new to Dance, or wanting to try something new without a full year commitment, we’re pleased to offer 6 week dance classes. Four session dates are as follows:
What to know?
- Students would be part of a small performance showing for friends and family at RTA on the last class. The 6 week series do not form part of the end of year recital.
- Costumes fees are not included in the tuition for this class.
- Children who are fully potty trained and able to use the bathroom independently are allowed to be left on site.
- Children who need bathroom assistance should always have a caregiver on site.
- Parents are allowed to participate with their children, but this is not expected.

Creative Movement (6 week sessions running throughout the year)
FALL SESSION 1: (6 weeks) September 16 – October 21, 2025 REGISTER HERE FALL/WINTER SESSION 1: (6 weeks) October 28 – December 9, 2025 REGISTER HERE WINTER SESSION 2: (6 weeks) January 6 – February 10, 2026 REGISTER HERE SPRING SESSION : (6 weeks) March 3 – April 7, 2026 REGISTER HERE Creative Movement is a fun way for little ones to explore movement through music, dance, and storytelling. During a creative movement class, children can simultaneously develop motor skills, rhythmic awareness, coordination, and balance in a fun and safe environment. What is creative movement? Students will learn all about movement as they learn warm-ups and different dance styles throughout the year. Children will be asked to move to different music however they see fit. The teacher and dancers will work together to choreograph a dance routine that can be shared with friends and family at the last class. They will have the chance to create and move freely in this class. A great beginner dance course for kids who love to move and wiggle. Costumes are not provided for this class. |
Dance for Adults (ballet focused)
Discover the beauty, strength, and grace of ballet in a supportive, welcoming environment. This class is designed for adults with little to no prior dance experience who want to explore the fundamentals of ballet while improving posture, balance, flexibility, and coordination. Through gentle barre work, center exercises, and across-the-floor combinations, students will build confidence and body awareness at a comfortable pace. Whether you’re brand new to dance or returning after many years, this class offers an encouraging space to move, learn, and enjoy the artistry of ballet. |
Teen Hip Hop Grades 6-12 boys & girls
Bring your energy and creativity to this high-energy hip hop class designed just for teens! Classes focus on technique, musicality, and self-expression through fun combinations and choreography set to age-appropriate music. Whether you’re new to dance or looking to sharpen your skills, this class is a great way to move, connect, and have fun with friends in a supportive environment. |
Parent/Child Dance (recital optional class) Grades 3-12
Share the joy of movement with your little one in this fun, supportive class designed for parents and children to dance together! Over six weeks, you’ll explore learning a dance routine together, movement, and rhythm that builds coordination, confidence, and connection. This class is perfect for families looking to bond while discovering the joy of dance. Multi age class for all abilities. ** Families enrolled will also have the special opportunity to participate in River Tree Arts’ Annual Dance Recital—creating a memorable experience both in the studio and on stage! |
