We are proud to honor Rae’s incredible legacy by sharing her gifts with future generations through this new addition within River Tree Arts.
Mission: The Rae Ingwersen Gallery champions contemporary and abstract art, creating a platform for exploration, connection and new perspectives.
A Note from Rae Ingwersen:
“I am humbled and honored by River Tree Arts’ decision to name a gallery after me. As an artist, abstraction has always been my passion. I once encountered someone who remarked that abstract artists couldn’t paint. I imagine many celebrated abstract artists would be rolling in their graves at such a notion!
For me, the journey toward abstraction began with my studies as a sculpture major. Working with shapes, shadows, and negative space was my foundation. Over time, I introduced canvas, color, and reduction techniques to bring these ideas to life in new and dynamic ways. It’s my hope to inspire our community and its visitors to embrace and explore the beauty of abstraction while supporting the incredible artists who dedicate themselves to this expressive and transformative art form.”
