This Summer, we’re offering varied summer programming, from one-day workshops, one-day-a-week classes, mini three-day camps and week-long morning or afternoon camps. Registrants should pay close attention to the grade, camp dates & times when registering. Campers must be entering the grade noted on the camp description to attend that particular camp (i.e. entering 5th grade this fall).

Camps must have a minimum of 4 attendees in order to run. Camps are subject to cancellation if we don’t get enough sign ups so don’t delay and register today!

If there are any allergies or serious medical information that we need to be aware of before a camp, kindly ensure that you provide this information as early as possible so that we can make the necessary arrangements.

NO early drop off or late picks up can be accommodated. Students are asked to stick to camp times. Doors for camps open no earlier than 5 minutes before start time.

Bring a sketchbook or journal with you and we will work on filling pages through different art-making and writing prompts that are reflective and allow you to bring expression and meaning to your work. Week One: Blueberries for Sal – In our very first week of art camp, we will read our first book about Maine! Blueberries for Sal is a classic book that brings together the love for Maine summers and blueberries, along with some curious wildlife and a little girl who is eager to eat as many morsels as she can. To bring this to life with art, your children will be making buckets out of clay, exploring the textures of cork and cotton balls while “stamping” blueberries, and bringing life to the black bear by painting with anything but paint brushes!

Week Two: Miss Rumphius: Description- In week two, we will read Miss Rumphius, which is yet another book that many locals have probably grown up reading. It talks about the natural beauty of our great state, with a special focus on the lupines that pepper the coast. We will make two different types of lupines, one being a group project and the other will encourage your children to get creative with colorful buttons. We’ll also make our own little homes out of popsicle sticks and talk about what your child would do/does to make the world a more beautiful place.

Fashion tells a story—and this class brings it to life on paper. From historical fashion plates to contemporary illustration, artists have long used drawing to capture style, movement, and the spirit of an era.
In this hands-on class, students will explore the art of fashion illustration through observation, sketching, and visual storytelling. They will learn to draw the human figure, clothing on the figure, movement, texture, and expressive line—strengthening both technical skill and creative confidence.
Students will examine how fashion has been illustrated across time, from historical dress and early fashion plates to modern editorial illustration. Through guided lessons and creative exploration, they will develop an understanding of proportion, gesture, and personal style while building a strong foundation in drawing.
Designed for a range of experience levels, the class supports both beginners and more experienced young artists. Beginners will be guided step by step through foundational skills, while seasoned students will be encouraged to refine their work through stylistic experimentation and thoughtful detail.

Week Three: Camping Spree with Mr. Magee – In week three, our book is Camping Spree with Mr. Magee is a book about a man and his dog who go camping for a night, and there are adventures around every corner. To tie our projects into this fun book filled with rhymes, we will make tissue paper campfires, binoculars to spot any critters, and make a special treat for the critters at your own homes.

Bring a picture(s) of your favorite animal/pet or pick from one of ours. This three-day class will explore painting animals by starting with a sketch/transfer drawing, adding an underpainting with different values of gray tones, and glazing color over the top. Week Four: The Little Fisherman – In our final week of art camp, we will read a book by Margaret Wise Brown called The Little Fisherman. This book tells the tales of a big fisherman and a little fisherman that does everything the big one does, even though he is smaller. I think this teaches us an important lesson that even if you are small, you can still be mighty! Your child will participate in a group sailboat mural where we all work together to create a whimsical scene. We will also make “wiggly fish”, and be sure the sailboats can make it home at night by fashioning our very own lighthouses.

Music Movement Magic (Grades PreK-2; Ages 4-7)

A whirlwind of fun! Introducing young people to the world of music through storytelling, with all the different families of instruments; learning the basic core concepts of music with the power of creative games, improvisation, movement, and stories. Great preparation for further study in hand drums, winds, strings, percussion, conducting, voice, and keyboard. Max 8 attendees.
Mindful Arts Week
- Dates: August 17-21; 5 day camp (Monday-Friday)
- Time: (2 hours) 9am – 11am
- Grades: Grades: 6–10

A reflective art week focused on creativity, mindfulness, and self-expression. Students create a personal art journal and explore body mapping, nature-based art, visualization, and response art in a supportive group setting. All supplies are provided.
Clay Creature / Clay Food Camp (Grades 3-6)
- Dates: August 17-21; 5 day camp (Monday-Friday)
- Time: (3 hours) 12pm – 3pm
- Grades: Grades: 3–6

A playful hands-on clay week where kids sculpt either fantastical creatures or realistic clay foods. Students learn basic hand-building techniques, add expressive details, and paint their finished sculptures for a mini exhibition.
