To bring this to life with art, your children will be making buckets out of clay, exploring the textures of cork and cotton balls while “stamping” blueberries, and bringing life to the black bear by painting with anything but paint brushes!

Week Four: The Little Fisherman – In our final week of art camp, we will read a book by Margaret Wise Brown called The Little Fisherman. This book tells the tales of a big fisherman and a little fisherman that does everything the big one does, even though he is smaller. I think this teaches us an important lesson that even if you are small, you can still be mighty! Your child will participate in a group sailboat mural where we all work together to create a whimsical scene. We will also make “wiggly fish”, and be sure the sailboats can make it home at night by fashioning our very own lighthouses.
