As a Non-profit Center for the Arts, River Tree Arts depends on the community and dedicated members to participate in a wide range of activities and events. Your impact as a volunteer is vital to the success of our mission.
Be a part of the creative and supportive art community!
We warmly welcome volunteers who can help us for a one-time event or on an ongoing basis. As a grassroots local non-profit with a lot going on, there’s always a need. Volunteers help with:
- Front desk: secretarial work (answer phone calls, take messages, greet students and guests) *If qualified with computer skills, light administrative paperwork is also an option.
- Special events: set-up and break-down for concerts, recitals, reception, art workshops (Preparing food, move tables, unfold
chairs, sweep, remove trash, etc.)
- Behind the scenes: organizing art supplies, cleaning classrooms, preparing class materials, recycling objects, decorating chalkboards, creating flyers, ironing tablecloths for events, changing light bulbs
- Committee or Board Member: active leadership role within the organization to help guide River Tree into the future. A minimum of 6 hours per month is required to participate in this type of role. In addition to actively leading the organization, there is an expectation that you contribute to our day to day success by attending monthly meetings, analyzing data, reading materials, writing grants, interviewing vendors/contractors, etc.
