Beginner Guitar Group Lessons – Session 2

  • Session dates: (8 weeks) January 15 – March 12, 2026 (no class 2/19)
  • When: Thursdays, 3:45-4:30pm (45 minutes)

Ready to keep the music going? Session 2 of our Beginner Guitar Group Lessons is designed for both returning students and new beginners! Kids in grades 2–5 will continue exploring the fundamentals of guitar in a fun, supportive group setting.

Students who participated in the first session will build on what they’ve learned—strengthening their chord knowledge, improving strumming techniques, and learning new songs—while new students will be guided through the basics at a comfortable pace. Everyone will have the opportunity to play together, build confidence, and enjoy making music as a team.

Students should provide their own instruments when possible. River Tree Arts has a very limited number of guitars available to loan for this class.

In this session, students will:

  • Review and strengthen basic chords and strumming patterns
  • Learn new songs and rhythms
  • Improve timing, coordination, and ensemble playing
  • Continue developing fundamental music skills in a fun, social environment
Teen Hip Hop: Grades 6-12 (Co-ed)

  • Dates: 6 week session # 2 [January 27 – March 10, 2026] No class 2/17 ; makeup date if RTA cancels 3/17
  • When: Tuesdays, 5:45-6:30pm
  • Cost: $90.00

Bring your energy and creativity to this high-energy hip hop class designed just for teens! Classes focus on technique, musicality, and self-expression through fun combinations and choreography set to age-appropriate music. Whether you’re new to dance or looking to sharpen your skills, this class is a great way to move, connect, and have fun with friends in a supportive environment.
Irish Step Dance Session (Grades 3+)

  • Session Dates: (6 weeks) February 26 – April 2, 2026  (makeup date if RTA cancels 4/9)
  • When: Thursdays, 6:00-6:45pm  (45min class)
  • Ages: Grades 3+
  • Cost: $90.00

Join Miss Abby to tap, jump, and twirl your way into Irish tradition! This 6-week class introduces dancers to the exciting world of Irish step through upbeat music, easy-to-follow moves, and plenty of fun. Perfect for beginners ready to move — or seasoned dancers looking to refine their skills.

  • In the case that a class is canceled due to weather and a student cannot attend the rain-date, refunds will not be issued.
  • All children need to have a completed consent form on file before attending classes without an adult: RTA Consent Form
  • If there are any allergies or serious medical information that we need to be aware of before your child attends art camp, kindly ensure that you provide this information as early as possible so that we can make the necessary arrangements.  
  • No early drop off or late picks up can be accommodated. 
  • RTA is a NUT-FREE facility.
