Join us in the exciting lifelong skill of sewing in this class where students will learn how to operate a sewing machine, understand cutting, construction, and fabric choice basics. Students will leave class with a completed useful project or two. Please inform RTA at time of registration if student has taken this class before because that will help determine the project. $160 (RTA member $146)



Grades 4+
Tuesday 3:30-5:30pm

Instructor: Alice Carroll
(6 weeks)  March 12 – April 23  (no class 4.16)

Learn to make earrings, pendants, rings and more with metals. Work with metalsmithing tools to form, shape & create your own designs. Hammering and soldering will be the main focus of class. Each student will learn techniques to make their very own bracelets, rings, pendants and more. * Students who have previously taken this class are encouraged to register again as projects vary with each session. 8 student maximum. $172 (RTA member $158) + $20 materials fee

Intro to CERAMICS offers students the opportunity to explore their creativity while experiencing everything clay! Students will experiment with a variety of hand building techniques as well as using the wheel. All projects will be fired in the kiln and students will learn basic glazing applications to finish the work that they create to cherish for years. 8 student maximum.  *Students can take bus # 32 from school to RTA.
$172 (RTA member $155) + $20 materials fee

Wednesday, 12:30 – 3:30
Join us for early release Wednesdays, the first Wednesday of every month. Students will explore a variety of different art mediums. Instructors vary. 10 student maximum per workshop. $30 (RTA member $25)

Wednesday, 12:30 – 3:30
Join us for early release on January 9th for an introductory PREK / KINDERGARTEN workshop led by Piper Castles. The pre-k / kindergarten students will work on their own activity, separate from Grade 1-5 students but in the same art studio. It’s going to be a fun workshop for all! Max 8 students!




Grades 1-5
Thursday, 3:30-5:30pm
Instructor: Gayle Fitzpatrick
7 weeks (03/14-05/02)  no class 4/18

Students will work as a group to create an assortment of set designs for the River Tree Arts production of the “The Wizard of Oz! Be part of a great community event creating artwork for all to see. A new and exciting opportunity for students who would like to get involved in the creative side of theater production. Students in this class will not be in the actual performance but their designs will be visible for all to see!  They will get free tickets to the production and their names will be in the playbill as well.  $185 (RTA members $168)





A make-up week has been built into the schedule for missed classes due to inclement weather during the Winter. If there is a missed class, a make-up class will be held the week of 03/04-03/07. If there are no missed classes, the last week of regular classes will be 02/25-02/28.

~ All classes are age specific and have a minimum of 4 students in order to run.
~ Registration closes 5 days prior to each class starting.
~ Classes subject to cancellation if we do not meet the 4 student minimum. ~
