Kids Ceramics: Hand Building for Grades 3-6

Join Emily and discover the rich history and techniques of hand-built ceramics, an art dating back thousands of years. Using pinch, coil, slab, and dapping methods, you’ll create unique functional and decorative objects while exploring traditional and modern approaches to clay!  Learn to shape, texture, and glaze your work, with all materials and firings included! Perfect for beginners and experienced artists alike! Max 8 attendees.
3 Week Hand-Building Clay Session for Teens & Adults

  • Ages: Teens 14 + and adults
  • Cost: $185.00 + $35.00 materials fee

A focused hand-building clay workshop for beginner teens and adults. Participants create functional and sculptural pieces inspired by natural and fruit forms, exploring form, texture, and surface design. Examples of projects: wall vases, fridge magnets, or fruit-shaped trinket/jewelry dishes.

PLEASE BE ADVISED:

  • Don’t dress in your best attire for art classes; art can get messy!
  • Please read all of River Tree Arts’ Policies and Procedures before registering for any event.
  • In the case that a class is canceled due to weather and a student cannot attend the rain-date, refunds will not be issued.
  • All children need to have a completed consent form on file before attending classes without an adult: RTA Consent Form
  • If there are any allergies or serious medical information that we need to be aware of before your child attends art camp, kindly ensure that you provide this information as early as possible so that we can make the necessary arrangements.  
  • No early drop off or late picks up can be accommodated. 
  • RTA is a NUT-FREE facility.
